First of all I can’t profess to be a blogger expert, as I am in the learning  curve phase. But, I do know from my marketing experience that one can have the coolest, hippest, fanciest blog on the internet and NO viewers. In my mind that is such a waste.  This is why over the past couple of days I have been focusing my efforts on gaining a Twitter following. I need you, (my readers) to visit my blog, read and make comments. But, I have to find you wonderful people first.

I am all ears and open to any suggestions on how to expand my reader base. Please post a comment.

Wow, I am very impressed with the results I am getting. I have  nearly 200 Twitter followers in less than 48 hours. My goal is to have 1000 followers by the end of the week. I ponder how to convey this message without it sounding like marketing hype. Although, the results I am getting are directly related to my purchase of the Twitter Automation System. I am posting information about the Twitter training system because folks have been  asking for me to explain it to them. The website that promotes the Automation System looks a little mis-leading because they are focused on the money making potential. They could of done just as well by promoting the product as an educational tool.

I  learned so many things watching the videos that I was not  aware  of. Even stuff about Google applications and RSS feeds. The material is presented in a easy to learn format as the presenter narrates the  training while showing you in live form how to navigate through the various websites and functions. Mouse click by mouse click and you can follow along on your own P/C.

Some of the topics covered are:

1. How to properly setup your profile on Twitter.
2. Links to a website to customize your Twitter home  page.
3. How to set up a system to send a automated response to folks that follow you.
4. How to automatically follow folks based on  their areas of interest.
5. How to automatically feed content related Tweets.

7. How to automatically un-follow folks who don’t follow back.
8. Plus, stuff about Google alerts, document storage, etc.

This is literally amazing. I started marketing on the  Internet back in the late 90’s. Then a series of personal tragedies took my attention offline for several years. Well now I am back. I’m getting my feet wet trying to ascertain where the greatest potential lies. Over the past 24 hours Twitter is all the BUZZ.  Geez, Larry King, Oprah Winfrey, Aston Kutcher and other celebrities are challenging everyone to follow them on Twitter. So of course I had to look into this Twitter deal. My initial reaction was this was just another gimmick, until I analyzed it further. I came to the conclusion that it has  great potential as a forum to make initial contacts with like minded people. create new friendships and grow a huge customer base.

Thus, I have been spending most of the last 24 hours, (except sleep time) learning the in’s and out’s of Twitter as a business tool.  I ordered a course on building and automating your business with Twitter that has been an excellent resource. I am going to blog more about it, once I finish the course. But, it really is excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn the finer points of Twitter. And there really are some finer points that don’t quickly meet the eye. There are many tips and tricks to learn.

Today 4/17/2009, I started building this blog. Below are the steps I have taken to get this far.

1. I registered the domain name www.keithblogs.com with godaddy.com
2. Signed up with wordpress.com to host my blog
3. Created a forwarding link in the domain manager at godaddy to point to bacorgrp.wordpress.com
4. Signed into my wordpress blog and started learning how to use all the tools, widgets, formatting, etc.
5. Been surfing the web looking at blogs trying to get ideas.

I did add a few posts and new stuff to the blog. This is most definitely a learning experience.  I will try to continually update my blog building progress so that others can learn from my experiences. I think keeping this category very basic and step-by-step may help others going through the same experience. As I learn more possibly I will start a tips and tricks section. I need to figure how to use HTML to change formatting and add cool stuff. But right now I think I better stick to the basics as I progress through the learning curve. Just for fun let me try the coloring options.

Since this is my first posting I should write something earth shattering here. I think NOT! To be honest probably the  first posting is the hardest because I am just getting started. I have an infinate amount of ideas traveling through my head right now. The question is how to pull all the ideas together and generate a successful business model using the power of the internet.  My initial plan is to take my readers hand by hand through my journey to success. This will include all the fustrations, mistakes, road blocks, and everything that comes with starting a new project. Follow my blog and we will learn together.
