Spring Special!!  20 Percent Off!!  Use code = SPRING

I know, I am way behind schedule on my postings. Plus, I know there is a lot more work to do on the look of my Blog Site. Eventually, I will update the featured site areas and put in some other cool stuff. This all is so time consuming. Plus, let’s just say I am in information overload.  My first goal is to automate my business. In order to help out my readers and provide a path to follow I am posting bits and pieces of  information.  This is what I have done thus far.

  1. I joined Twitter about a month ago and started generating a following. This is a great way to start a instant network. I now have over 3500 followers.  I used the tools and training from the Twitter Traffic Machine to accomplish this. “Click Here“  if you want access to this great tool!!
  2. I changed my BLOG Hosting over to Hostgator. They seem to be more blog friendly than Godaddy. Also, they have a 20 percent off Spring Special. Just use SPRING in the coupon code area when you sign up. They are very reasonable with pricing from $4.95 per month. “Click Here” If you want to lock in those savings. FYI, the support I have received from Hostgator has been GREAT!!
  3. I joined Firepow which is an automated blog building service. Firepow is great for creating multiple niche blogs. Additionally, there is a suite of tools for maintaining and promoting your blogs. See my other postings for more information on this great tool. If you want to join Firepow, use the coupon code “trackback” and you will receive $30.00 off the regular price. “Click Here” if you want more details on Firepow!!!
  4. The next project I am working on is a automated article submission program. From everything I have researched building a successful business on the internet involves writing and submitting a large quanity of articles encompassing a variety of subjects.

So this has been a short synopsis of what I am doing to get my business rolling. I will post more details as time goes by. I really want to test out the article submission program. Once this is done I will post the results.

Monetizing your blog is easier than you think!!!

Posted by bacorgrp | This and That!! | Saturday 16 May 2009 9:58 am

You’ve decided that now’s the time. You’ve got the keyboard calluses, the archive and the readers. You’re ready to make some money from your passion for blogging. Sure, you gave up some real estate on the side of your blog for a search engine to place ads, but that’s not generating enough money to fill your gas tank, let alone change your lifestyle. The real opportunity in monetizing your blog is through affiliate marketing. It’s as simple as placing specific ads or links on your blog (or Web site) for digitally downloadable products that relate to your topic. By placing those links you become an “affiliate” of the person(s) selling a product(s). If someone clicks on that ad or link on your blog and then buys the product, you get a commission on that sale. Since commissions can be as high as 75% of the sale, it’s a much better deal than getting paid a few cents for someone to click on an ad.

That’s where ClickBank comes in. It is the largest and one of the most respected companies in affiliate marketing, with over 35,000 unique digitally downloadable products, more than 12,000 product publishers and 25,000 daily sales transactions. With ClickBank, you choose the products you like, you get high commissions and you get paid automatically – creating a hassle-free way to monetize your blog. Here’s how it works. Let’s say you blog about fitness and wellness. You sign up with ClickBank (it doesn’t cost anything for affiliates), then go to the ClickBank Marketplace and pick the products (e-books, newsletters, subscriptions) you like best and that you think will appeal to your readers. When you find products you like and that pay what you think is a reasonable commission (up to 75%), you can get a “Hoplink” code (the link that lets you list the product on your site) to embed in your blog. It works just like any other link you place in your blog. You are then ready to make money. It’s that simple.

I am on my way. WOO HOO

Hello World,  This business is progressing nicely. I joined FirePow to kick off and automate my blogging business.

As blogging and in particular blogging for profit becomes ever more popular amongst online entrepreneurs, we’re seeing new tools developed to assist in this process being released, what seems like every week.

In this post I’m going to talk about one such tool, Firepow Blogging Software, because I believe it might just be a cut above the rest in terms of it’s flexibility of use, and overall effectiveness in accomplishing the three primary aims of blogging – creating a blog, managing it or maintaining it, and getting traffic to it.

It was hard to know where to start with this post because there are so many individual features of this software that could be mentioned.

To give you a brief overview of how it works…

Firepow is based on the Wordpress platform, and allows a user to install a fully customized and functioning wordpress blog with a few clicks of the mouse.

If you’ve used Wordpress before, you’ll know that one of the best things about it is it’s ability to be enhanced by third party plugins. You’ll also know that it’s not hard to get LOST in all the plugins and potential feature additions that CAN be made.

The first thing great about Firepow from my point of view is that they have done the plugin work for you. The best 50 or so plugins from around the web have been programmed into the software so as to be automatically installed when your blog is.

That’s a good feature, but it’s even better when you consider that while these plugins normally require manual fiddling to get installed, tweaks made to your theme CSS code and more – the software actually does that part for you too – so you click the button, and you have the function of that plugin added – VERY time saving!

The “Create” part of the process is also helped by the ability to create your own custom wordpress theme completely from scratch, with more functionality than we’ve seen from free theme generators EVER before – not to mention the ability to create your own categories from scratch, automatically create the perfect permalink
structure for SEO, and more.

Before even getting into the Wordpress panel of the site Firepow creates you’ve also got a site management tab where all your blogs can be managed from one place, an SEO tracking tool to monitor the search rankings of all your sites, and a task manager
that tells you what needs to be done to maintain your blog/s and when.

I dare say though that the best things happen once you’re actually IN the blog.

Here you have crazy abilities to make your post content better, easily being able to add relevant images, videos, or trackbacks (automatically building backlinks to your site) to your posts… and even that’s leaving alot out.

OR the crazy abilities to monitor your blogs success, like being able to split test the results of different posts, monitor your traffic through in depth reporting (utilizing Google analytics), monitoring your search spider activity, the popularity of your posts, the terms people are searching on your site, and more still.

I feel like I’m getting too salesy in this post to you but I can assure even with everything you’ve read here, I haven’t even really touched the surface of what’s going on inside this thing called Firepow – heck we didn’t even get to the promotional tools.

The best thing I can probably do is tell you go to look at the darn thing yourself:

Oh and I could also tell you that if your into blogging and you don’t, you’ll probably regret it big time.

I hope you’ve found the information here valuable, and don’t hesitate to leave your comments on Firepow here to share with others.

What I learned today about “Adsense” !!!

Posted by bacorgrp | Building the Blog | Monday 11 May 2009 2:29 pm

Over the weekend I decided it was time to sign up for Google Adsense. Apparently this is a good avenue to generate some extra income with my blog.  I gave it a few days for approval and go in to check on my account to find out they declined me.   Google does not provide any explanation on why I was rejected.  I did some research and found out if a website is under construction they will deny issuing an “Adsense account” . I guess, I screwed up by posting on my site that it was under construction.  The funny thing is aren’t all blog sites constantly under construction? We are updating and posting on a regular basis. The site is really never completed. Anyways, I took down the comment this site is under construction and will re-apply to Google later this week.

Happy Friday!!!

Posted by bacorgrp | First Postings | Friday 8 May 2009 3:02 pm

It’s Friday and a beautiful day up here in the mountains. The main reason I am building an Online Business is so I can live in such a wonderful area.  If you have been watching the blog development, you probably will notice all the sponsor’s I have added to the site.  Okay, they are Ads. Hopefully, visitors will see something they like and make a purchase through my site. I am trying to find good offers with cost saving so it is a win for everyone involved. Honestly, I do need to earn some money if I am going to keep doing this and building my blog. I want this site to be win-win for everyone involved.

I just signed up for google adsense, so we shall see how that all works out. I wanted to wish everyone a great weekend. Take care until the new post is updated.

Construction of the BLOG!!!

Posted by bacorgrp | Building the Blog | Tuesday 5 May 2009 11:55 am

Well, here we are on Cinco De Mayo.  May 5th, 2009. I know my postings have not been on a regular basis. I have been working on the look of my site and learning about CSS, PHP and how everything interfaces with HTML.  I was thinking about not bringing my blog online until it was up and running and looking pretty. After thinking about this approach I decided to release it to the public in it’s infancy. You will be able to see all the flaws and mistakes as I move forward with this project. This is a long term project and the changes will not happen overnight. Even my first posting will not be completely professional and proof read. Why, because I want you to see how this progresses over time. The posting will contain much more relevant information in the future. But, what the heck I need to blog about what is happening today. And today I am working on refining the look of the site. Then I will update the featured site area. Next I will start featuring some advertisers and products to help sponsor my work. Eventually, this should all take on a life of it’s own. Wish me luck!!!
